Simply “Be the Church”

The world is changing. The ways we connect, work, and play are changing. This includes how we do or don’t do church. We need knowledge, tools, and skills to “BE” the church in this new reality.

In this third blog, we share more of the why, what, and how of "being" the church according to Jesus. It’s simple, but profound when implemented.

Making Disciples Means Making Friends

What is the Relational Triangle?

So to “BE” the church with one another, we need to have three conversations…

  • a daily life-giving conversation with God

  • a weekly soul-connecting relationship with another disciple

  • a weekly soul-connecting conversation with a non-believer or a not-yet disciple.

Any way you want to configure your church experience, if you are missing out on having any of those three conversations, you are not engaged in “being” the church. Take a minute right now to think about these three areas. How are you doing?

In the link below, we offer a simple tool to help you take small but significant steps to be able to initiate and sustain ongoing conversations with God and others. If you are up for the challenge, use this tool to kickstart your thinking.

Note that if you are like most of us, you need ideas and help doing this. In the coming blogs we will do just that--starting with how to have a daily life-giving conversation with God. You are on the cusp of becoming a contagious disciple!
